General Information About Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport
Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), serving Abuja in Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory. It was named in honor of Nnamdi Azikiwe who was the first President.
As Africa's second-busiest airport and Nigeria's primary commercial hub, Abuja airport handles multiple airlines such as Turkish Airlines, Air France and British Airways.
At this airport there are two terminals; one for domestic flights and another for international ones. Additionally, its runway was renovated in 2017 and plans are in motion to expand its apron area.
Current airport operations include 8 domestic carriers and 10 international airlines as well as numerous ad hoc operators with daily operations.
