General Information About Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport
Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport Beirut-Rafic Hariri Airport, also known by its IATA code of BEY and ICAO code OLBA, is Lebanon's only commercial airport operating commercial flights, located 9 kilometers (6 miles) south of Beirut in southern suburbs. It serves Middle East Airlines (MEA) and Lebanese cargo carrier Wings of Lebanon cargo services, in addition to many domestic flights coming in or leaving Lebanon from there.
Terminal is comprised of one building on four levels with two wings branching off from it forming a U shape; East Wing and West Wing gates serve as boarding gates while an Arrivals Hall is situated on the ground floor of terminal building.
There are no trains at the airport; instead, buses run back and forth from it. Additionally, it is possible to rent a car at the airport; however this option tends to be more costly than taxis.
