Joint Forces Training Base - Los Alamitos
Joint Forces Training Base - Los Alamitos (JFTB - Los Alamitos), California is a 1,400 acre installation located within close proximity to Rossmoor, Los Alamitos, Cypress and Stanton cities.
At this base are two Air Force wings: 37th Training Wing and 12th Flying Training Wing - which provide equipment, training and support services to Air Force, DOD and partner force aviators.
These flying units conduct flight training at parallel runways on either side of the main installation facilities. This base also houses the headquarters for 401st Airlift Wing, which provides air force refueling and logistical support to Air Force and Department of Defense aircraft around the world.
JFTB Los Alamitos is home to the 359th Medical Group, providing health services to military members, civilians, retirees, and retirees in the community. JFTB offers comprehensive outpatient medical services including General Outpatient and Dental Care services.
CBRN Defense
The 319th Training Squadron provides all enlisted Airmen and Guardians at Basic Military Training with CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense) defense training in order to prepare them to effectively protect themselves against hazardous materials during missions in the field. Successful Airmen and Guardians receive a certificate upon successful completion of this course.
