Nevsehir Kapadokya Airport in Cappadocia

Nevsehir Kapadokya Airport is one of two primary airports serving Cappadocia - along with Kayseri Erkilet - and serves many travelers visiting this spectacular region. Situated 30 km (19 mi) northwest of Nevsehir in Turkey and opened on November 15, 1998.

At this airport, there is a terminal offering a few services: lounges, food and beverage offerings, mobile charging points, lockers and 24-hour shopping services. As this airport only handles domestic flights, it may not be ideal as an overnight or long layover option.

Flights

Due to limited direct flights between Istanbul and Nevsehir Kapadokya, it may be advantageous to arrange your travel via another airport that does not involve changing planes in Istanbul. Turkish Airlines provides light meals on all flights while providing reasonable baggage allowances.

Transportation Taxis and Shuttle Buses to Cappadocia

The easiest and fastest way from Nevsehir Kapadokya airport to Goreme is via taxi or shuttle bus service; typically costing 28-35 EUR (185-230 TL), the journey usually takes 40 minutes under normal traffic conditions and costs 28-35EUR (185-230TL).

Rental cars from NAV

Renting a car at the airport is an ideal way to navigate Cappadocia. Renting from NAV makes sense if you plan to use it again on the same day or if arriving early and want to avoid waiting in taxi lines.

There are also shuttle buses from Nevsehir Kapadokya to certain points within Cappadocia, however these won't take you directly to your hotel in Urgup, Goreme or another town - in that instance it might be necessary to arrange a private transfer instead.
