General Information About Augusta Regional Airport

Since it first opened as a flight training school for the United States military in 1940, Augusta Regional Airport (ARA) has expanded into an important travel hub of Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). Since 1960, ARA has offered passengers the comfort of "Flying There, Flying Home".

Transportation and Parking

The airport serves as a central point for local transportation needs, including rental cars. Seven agencies such as Ace, Avis, Alamo/National, Budget, Enterprise Hertz Thrifty are located onsite for convenient service.

Complaints, Tickets, Baggage and Passenger Screening

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) oversees baggage and passenger screening at airports nationwide. Their free services are open 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

AGS Consolidated Rental Car Facility

The airport is currently in the process of developing an AGS Consolidated Rental Car Facility that will be finished by Spring of 2018. This central facility will serve as an easy way for rental car companies to stage and maintain their vehicles.
