General Information Kutaisi International Airport, commonly referred to as David the Builder Kutaisi Airport, is situated 14 km west of Kutaisi city. With one terminal serving both domestic and international flights for both commercial and private operators.

Taxis will cost around 25 GEL from the airport to reach the center of town; alternatively, Georgian Bus shuttle runs regularly between Colchis Fountain and the airport and drops off passengers there.

UNStudio designed the new terminal at Toronto Pearson International Airport using sustainable design features and sustainable materials, three times larger than its predecessor and with several eco-friendly elements incorporated.

Sustainability features include an underground source of water for reduced energy consumption, concrete core activation, grey water collection and the use of sprinkler basins in the traffic control tower - with its perforated skin to allow airflow and reduce cooling requirements.

UNStudio not only designed a terminal but also created the 55m air traffic control tower and supporting office/operational building to complement it aesthetically and serve as a landmark to passengers.

Boasting access to a range of airlines as well as buses and fast trains connecting various other cities throughout Georgia, as well as hotels, restaurants and shopping outlets within its perimeter, Tbilisi International is easily reachable from most other parts of Georgia via public transit.
