Accidents and Incidents:

On 13 January 2006, Learjet 24F ZS-FUN of SOS Air Rescue Africa crashed shortly after landing at N'Djili as part of a medical evacuation flight to Johannesburg for medical evacuation purposes, damaging its left undercarriage and starting a fire which spread rapidly throughout the aircraft. All pilots and medical crew were unharmed while it sustained substantial damage; on 4 October 2007, Antonov An-26 9Q-COS of Africa One crashed shortly after takeoff killing at least 51 people while injuring 30 more. It had reportedly been carrying election material when it crashed shortly after takeoff; moreover it had apparently been carrying election material along its flight path from N'Djili to Johannesburg medical evacuation mission when it caught fire and started burning, though all pilots and medical crew escaped unharmed from both pilots and medical crew aboard were uninjured but its left undercarriage was destroyed along its journey.
