Taoyuan International Airport is Taiwan's busiest and largest airport, welcoming a record 46.5 million passengers last year alone. Travel from Taoyuan Airport to Taipei city center typically takes an hour, making this an excellent way to see its attractions during your holiday. Furthermore, it's an affordable solution if you have multiple people or luggage that need transporting.

In-town check-in: Certain airlines provide an in-town check-in facility at Taipei Main MRT Station that enables you to check in before arriving at the airport, saving both time and stress once landed.

The airport features several duty-free shops where you can purchase tobacco, alcohol, perfumes, cosmetics and local crafts. There are also retail outlets selling books, CDs and DVDs.

Transportation Frequent buses operate between the airport and Taipei, Zhongli District, Banqiao, Changhua and THSR's Taoyuan Station. Tickets for these trips can be found at ticket counters inside both terminals' arrival areas.

Taxis can be hired around-the-clock and can be found outside each terminal. Fares to downtown Taipei will vary according to time of day, but typically run around NT$1250 for one ride.
