General Description
Tofino/Long Beach Airport (YAZ) is a small non-towered airfield situated within Pacific Rim National Park Reserve near Long Beach in British Columbia, Canada and 6 nautical miles (11 km; 6.9 mi) southeast of Tofino. This airfield serves both private aircraft as well as seasonal commercial services.
Since 2010, Tofino/Long Beach Airport has undergone significant upgrades, such as the resurfacing and night lighting of runway 11/29. Furthermore, an entirely new Terminal and Maintenance building were constructed in order to house multiple regional airlines like Pacific Coastal Airlines.
YAZ Airport is located on Vancouver Island's west coast and accessible with an hourly shuttle bus transfer from either Kelowna or Victoria International Airports. Pacific Coastal Airlines and Kenmore Air Express both provide daily flights between Vancouver, Victoria and Seattle from here.
