General Information About Tri-Cities Regional Airport

Situated in Blountville, Tennessee and serving the Tri-Cities region (Bristol, Kingsport and Johnson City) of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, Tri-Cities Regional Airport is an important commercial airport that serves Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Administered by Tri-Cities Airport Authority whose members are appointed by cities of Johnson City, Bristol Kingsport Kingsport Washington County Sullivan County in Tennessee respectively.

Tri-Cities Regional Airport, operated by Tennessee Department of Transportation and designated a Federal Aviation Administration facility, features two asphalt runways laid out in an "X" formation with the longest one being over 8,000 feet (2,438 meters).

Travelers arriving at the airport are offered services by various airlines flying out of here, such as American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Allegiant Air. These airlines provide both direct and connecting flights to West coast hubs.
