Cape Town International Airport
Cape Town International Airport (CPT) is one of South Africa's two busiest and fifth busiest on the African continent with over 10 million annual passenger movements through it. CPT serves as an integral transportation hub for travellers arriving to and leaving Cape Town and is situated 20km away along the N2 freeway.
Since 2000, the airport's terminal buildings have undergone considerable upgrade work. A new International Arrivals terminal was constructed, while R120-million worth of refurbishment work was done on its International Departures terminal.
A Central Terminal was also constructed, connecting Domestic and International terminals through a shared check-in area. Furthermore, this airport boasts numerous facilities such as:
Shopping - Duty-free shopping can be found in the International terminal with shops offering clothing, jewellery, crafts and souvenirs - not forgetting pharmacies and post offices!
Food and Drink
