Signs advertising the new terminal have started appearing at the airport entrance and the initial section of steel frame construction has been completed. Work continues apace on both bridge and terminal construction with completion expected in 2025 according to airport officials.

People no longer require tickets to visit the statue honoring Pittsburgh Steelers legend Franco Harris, who passed away earlier this year. This photo op in Airside Terminal had become increasingly popular for western Pennsylvania residents and visitors to take a glimpse at its timeless imagery depicting Harris' Immaculate Reception moment - it remains popular as a photo op to this day.

George Washington and Nellie Bly statues will also be relocated to Landside Terminal so they can be seen by passengers without tickets. Heinz History Center will partner with the airport to relocate them in an easier-to-access spot that does not require TSA approval.
