General Information About Yantai Penglai International Airport

Situated at Liujiazhuang Village, Chaoshui Town and Penglai City 43 kilometers to the northwest of Yantai proper, Yantai's new airport opened for operation in 2015. As an important transportation hub serving China Eastern Airlines and Shandong Airlines as their focus cities.

At Beijing Capital Airport, Chinese airlines use it as their home base to operate scheduled services to various destinations throughout Russia, Japan and Southeast Asia. Twenty one carriers currently offer regular scheduled flights out of here.

Scheduled departures from Harbin International Airport include flights to Harbin, Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian Nanjing and Xi'an - most international routes being serviced by China Eastern.

Check-in Counters and Boarding Gates

There are 48 check-in counters arranged in three islands and 23 boarding gates at this airport, with Island A being used exclusively for international arrivals such as flights from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan while Island B offers domestic check-in services for local flights/airlines.

Passenger Terminal

The ground floor passenger terminal features a departure hall and baggage claim area for easy travel. In addition, shopping facilities and restaurants are located here as well.

Busses provide transportation between the airport and downtown areas. Four bus lines connect Yantai with Weihai, Rushan, Wendeng and Zhaoyuan from here.

Taxis are also readily available and can take you directly into the city center in about 50 minutes, or you could rent a car from the airport and explore on your own.

There are several 3 star hotels near the airport that provide affordable accommodations, or for an upgrade you could try 3-5 star accommodations that feature all of the amenities expected in luxury airport hotels.
