General Information Sochi International Airport, situated in Sochi's Adler district and on the coast of the Black Sea, is one of Russia's ten largest airports with an annual passenger capacity of over 5 Million in 2017.

Bus Travel from Sochi International Airport to Sochi

Buses provide the easiest and cheapest means of reaching Sochi from its airport terminal, with regular trips leaving every 15 minutes from Terminal 3. Bus 105 or Bus 105C are particularly fast options - leave the terminal every 15 minutes, providing frequent service between Sochi International Airport and the city.

Bus 107 also leaves from this bus stop and takes approximately 40 minutes to arrive in the city center; just make sure that you book your ticket early as these buses may encounter delays.

Train travel can be an enjoyable and relaxing way to reach Sochi, but be sure to carefully review the train schedule prior to booking your ticket in order to prevent delays and additional costs.

If traveling from Sochi to another destination, it's advisable to avoid Highway M4-don. Unless you are an experienced driver, most will find this road unsuitable; its toll booths can be confusing and are typically located in busy areas; as such they often cause traffic jams.

Ferries offer another alternative if time is of the essence: travelling from Turkey to Sochi by ferry can take as little as 12 hours and may even save on gas costs! If time is of the essence, consider trying this fast route instead.

There are various alternative modes of transport between Sochi International Airport and Sochi center, including taxis, tourist transfers and rent-a-car. A ride in either will usually take anywhere between 30-60 minutes depending on where your final destination lies.

Some hotels provide free shuttle services between their hotel and the airport, which can make for an ideal stay with young children or traveling pets. This service makes for convenient travel.
