Adirondack Regional Airport

General Details Adirondack Regional Airport (SLK), owned and operated by the Town of Harrietstown, is situated two miles (3 km) northeast of Lake Clear in north central Adirondacks.

SLK Airport provides commercial service by Cape Air daily between Boston and New York City, serving general aviation aircraft from all around North Country Life Flight's service region as an emergency medical air service provider. Additionally, this facility acts as the home for North Country Life Flight emergency medical flight service.

This airport features a Category 1 Instrument Landing System with a 6,573-foot runway to enable aircraft to safely land even during inclement weather.

At an airport in Adirondacks, snow plows, blowers and runway sweepers are installed for winter to keep passengers and personnel safe, however replacement of any broken equipment is costly.

Cape Air operates daily round trips between Boston and New York City on three routes, serving as home for the New York State Police Aviation Unit and offering flying lessons at Cape Air's hub airport in Cape Cod.

Additionally, the airport hosts other businesses including a cafe and general aviation facility. It regularly handles aircraft ranging in size from small single engine piston aircraft to large charter aircraft.

At our airport, we offer fuel sales, deice (type I and type IV), tie-down aprons, ground power services, lavatory facilities and lavatory service as well as airport rescue and firefighting services on-site.
