Charlottesville Albemarle Airport (CHO), a non-hub, commercial service airport serving travelers in Charlottesville and its surrounding counties, offers convenient one-stop international and domestic travel for visitors from both regions.

CHO's 60,000 sq ft terminal facility features modern customer amenities, such as on-site rental cars (Enterprise, Avis, Budget & National), ground transportation and food service provided by Tailwind Concessions including Turbo Grill, Radar Bar and Copilot Coffee located conveniently inside.

Other facilities at CHO Airport Authority include an Executive Terminal that offers full-service fixed base operations, flight schools and aircraft charter firms. Powers and Responsibilities of the Authority The Airport is authorized to acquire real or personal property within or beyond its boundaries through acquisition, gift, sale, lease or condemnation for acquisition by purchase, gift, sale leaseback or condemnation as needed for its purposes or any use by it, whether that includes land, waters, rights in land air rights franchises machinery equipment furnishings landscaping easements utilities roadways approaches roadways etc as deemed necessary by it for its activities or any use by it of an Airport facility.

Personnel and police officers of the Authority are authorized to enforce all applicable federal, state and local laws and ordinances of participating political subdivisions where Authority facilities are located as well as any law related to conducting business. Such personnel and police officers can issue summonses to appear for court hearings as allowed by law; arrest individuals without warrant for violating rules or regulations set forth by the Authority; bring individuals before any judicial officer with proper jurisdiction who have committed violations on or within Authority facilities such as rules or regulations from them; violation of local ordinances that affect these facilities or laws from elsewhere that affect them or breach any other applicable Commonwealth law that pertains.
