Sarajevo International Airport

Sarajevo International Airport (SJJ), is the primary international airport serving Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina's capital city. Located 3.3 NM southwest of Sarajevo railway station and about 6.5 NM west of downtown Sarajevo in Ilida municipality near Butmir, SJJ can be accessed easily.

Turkish Airlines, Austrian and Air Serbia operate out of this airport as well as several local operators such as Pegasus Airlines.

Transportation To/From the Airport

Taxis offer the fastest and most comfortable method of travel between airports. With many taxi options at each terminal, it is wise to pre-book your ride as it ensures reliability and comfort.

How to Get From Sarajevo International Airport to Sarajevo Center

After arriving, walk to Bascarsija (Sarjevo's main square). There you can use public transport (buses are relatively affordable and easy to use, although some only run during certain hours of the day).
