Zvartnots International Airport, commonly referred to by its International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) code UDYZ, is located approximately 15km west of Yerevan - Armenia's capital city - and serves as both its main international and Yerevan's primary transport hub.

Airport terminals, passenger lounges and runways are kept in top shape to welcome international flights year-round. Furthermore, this airport features an air navigation system which offers 30x300m meteorological minimum conditions for landing.

At this airport, several airlines operate and serve over 33 destinations throughout Europe and Asia from here. In addition, this serves as the primary base for national carrier Armavia.

In 2007, Zvartnots Airport saw the debut of its modern new terminal under a 30-year lease agreement between Armenian Government and Corporation America, an Argentine-American company.

The new terminal was specifically designed to withstand earthquakes, while still fitting into the landscape of airport landside buildings. Its ground-floor level serves for arrivals while its upper floor level hosts departures.

Construction was carried out by ARMProject and includes a check-in area, check-out and dining areas, bars and restaurants, duty free shops, passenger management areas and an operating centre for security control. Now meeting ICAO standards with improved aircraft taxiing and parking, enhanced baggage handling services and increased security staff presence; this airport now meets their criteria fully.
