Cruise Along the Ganges River in India

India's holiest river, the Ganges, flows through one of its world's most fertile and densely populated regions. Along its course lie picturesque riverside towns and bustling cities before finally emptying out into the Bay of Bengal. People affectionately refer to this waterway as "Mother Ganges," while cruise ships now ply its waters providing travelers with an opportunity to experience India's history in comfort of a floating hotel.

India holds great reverence for the Ganges for its healing properties. The river's waters are utilized for food, bathing, medicine and religious ceremonies - Hindus believe its waters have the ability to cleanse souls of any harm while offering good fortune and ridding one of bad luck.

River rafting is also an enjoyable activity at this site, offering several different itineraries through picturesque villages such as Metiyari or Kalna's ancient temple city.
