Things that are forbidden to take on board the aircraft

Airlines are a convenient way to quickly get to the destination. But sometimes this method can bring inconvenience due to the contents of hand luggage. Both travelers with experience and beginners are faced with this problem. What are these things and why shouldn't they take on board? How can these prohibitions go around?

In 2022, as in previous years, a list of things that cannot be taken on board depending on the country and airline, differs. But, despite this, all things can be divided into those that are undesirable only in some countries and airlines, and those that cannot be transported anywhere.

It is forbidden to take cutting and stitching metal objects and tools on board any airlines: scissors, knife, ax, construction tools (pliers, hammer, saw, buzz, pliers and others), firearms and ammunition, explosive and inflammatory objects and mixtures (firecrackers, fireworks, Bengal lights, gunpowder, matches and lighters, solvents and spray cans). To ban on toys imitating these items.

Any items under pressure containing gas cannot be carried on board the aircraft. Substances and objects containing toxic substances. Each year, their list is expanded and declared through agreements between countries around the world. The obvious objects of this category can include a mercury thermometer, a tonometer, a barometer and various acids and chlorine -containing substances.

Under a strict ban, perishable foods remain: fish, soft cheeses, dairy and meat products with a short shelf life. But do not be upset, you can take sandwiches, chocolate bars, fruits and nuts, hard cheese and sausage, bread, cookies and sweets with you to the plane.

As for fluids or "half -liquids", it is more difficult. Yogurts, water, juices, jam, soft cheeses can be taken on board in a container, the volume of which does not exceed 100 ml. It is worth noting that the fixed volume refers precisely to the capacity, and not the transported products. Therefore, it will not be possible to carry 100 ml of water in a bottle with a volume of 0.5 liters.

Liquid hygiene products, such as: shampoo, balm and shower gel can be transported in miniature bottles that do not exceed the recommended volume. Such containers can now be found not only at airports, but also in many chain stores for home or with cosmetics. Often they are already sold complete with a package of the required size. Medicines can be carried on board the aircraft. But medicines in liquid form are also no more than 100 ml, and hard drugs are desirable to be taken along with the prescription from the doctor.

The restriction on the transportation of liquids with a volume of not more than 100ml is valid at all airports not by chance. It provides safety during the flight without harming passengers. All liquid substances necessary for life, whether it is water or drugs, is quite sufficient in a volume of 100ml. But various fire -hazardous and flammable fluids in a volume of less than 100 ml will not be able to cause irreparable harm and have an irreparable effect on the course of the flight. Since the fire extinguishing means available on board will eliminate the problem.

If an unforeseen situation has occurred: in all airports, a passenger who has passed registration, a subccelete and other types of inspections can purchase the necessary items and food in the so -called "clean" zone. There are duty -free shops, various grocery and souvenir shops. It is worth noting that duty -free shops are located only at international airports.

Before flight, we recommend that you carefully read the list of items prohibited for the transport on the airline. And go on a trip with a good mood and without problems!
